Olmert becomes the grinch who stole Christmas - in a good way

Could Ehud Olmert have found his backbone? In reaction to some of the 'concessions' Olmert promised to the 'Palestinians' last week, which included removing road blocks to make terror attacks easier to carry out, The Big Picture made a devastating argument on Wednesday that Olmert is easily manipulated by Jihadis and liberals:

Olmert is providing an extreme example of a Western disorder: if you tell him his country is an oppressor, he'll do whatever you want. It makes him predictable and pathetically easy to manipulate.

We in the West must recognize this absurd disorder and take steps to put an end to it.

Now, Olmert seems to be backtracking. Maybe.

One of the 'concessions' Olmert offered was to release 'Palestinian' prisoners terrorists for the Id el-Adha Muslim holiday that starts today. This was to be done despite the fact that Hamas continues to hold kidnapped IDF Corporal Gilad Shalit, and that Israel has said many times that no 'Palestinians' will be released until Shalit is released. But now, Olmert has changed his mind and has said that no terrorists will be released for the holiday. And 'moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen, who is chancing a visit to Gaza this weekend for the first time in a long time, is upset about it:
Abbas said Olmert had promised him that he would release prisoners.

"Unfortunately, this didn't happen, and we hope that he will fulfill his promise after the holiday," Abbas told reporters.
Now, if only Olmert would fulfill his promises to protect Israelis....
