Breaking: CIA and MI6 cooperating with Mossad to sabotage Iran

Israel Radio reported on its midnight news that the CIA and Britain's MI6 are cooperating with the Mossad to sabotage Iran's nuclear program. The report is based on the French weekly Le Canard Enchaine. Unfortunately, only the front page of this publication appears online, but the headline for the story (in French) is here.

According to the report, in return for the CIA's and MI6's cooperation, Israel has agreed not to take direct military action against Iran. The report was not specific about the length of the Israeli commitment or what might lead to its cancellation.

According to the report, the Mossad, with the cooperation of the CIA and MI6, planted the Stuxnet computer worm, which has destroyed many of Iran's centrifuges, in some 30,000 Iranian computers.

Yeehaw! That is as long as the CIA and the MI6 don't operate as shields for Iran, as the UN has done in southern Lebanon. As long as they don't line up facing Israel, shoulder to shoulder with the attackers of Israel. These government people run the numbers and think that a few dead here and there is preferable to a war. But really, they are like the alcoholic's enabler, willing to sacrifice the victims of the alcoholic's horrendous behavior just to keep some sort of life going FOR THE ALCOHOLIC.

Hi Carl.
Le Canard Enchaîné is known in France for his anti Israeli stand.
I took the liberty to look for a follow up on their story ,i think i might have found something here.Will.

I don't doubt a war is being fought in the shadows to cripple Iran's nuclear program. You'd have to dumb, deaf and blind or living a cave somewhere the last couple of years not to notice Iran hasn't had a string of good luck of late.

Maybe they can hire Inspector Tamim and his boys to solve that case.

Heh

It is simply impossible to believe that the US is not assisting covertly Israel in Iran. Indeed, such as policy was rumored to have started under Bush and continued with Obama. Note the not-so-cryptic statement by Bibi during the initial Obama-Israel spat about what happens behind closed doors that is not revealed.

The question is not so much is covert activity occurring, but, rather, is it effective? It would seem the computer virus has been very effective. Perhaps more so than Iran has let on or Israel knows. I think the vanishing and eliminations of Iranian nuclear scientists have also been effective. I suspect allied activity as well with the numerous anti-regime actors most notably by the Baluchis who are now in the business of kidnapping Iranian scientists.

I worry instead of what we don't know. If the computer viral campaign doesn't work, would Iran simply 'buy' their nuke from North Korea? or some rogue Russian faction?

Another factor in Israel's favor is that the scientists in Iran will be, by definition, the most secular, the least religious. While not an absolute rule, scientists are less likely to be religious... Einstein, Fermi, Oppenheimer, Richard Feynman. I mean how religious could a PhD in physics be in Iran? It takes years of study to become an expert in such a field. Yes, there is the Pakistani precedent, but their program was largely stolen from Europe with illicit networks.

Bottom line: Israel has had what appears to be a great success in the covert sphere and is somehow working with the CIA and MI6 and probably the Germans, Italians and many, many arab firms(Sunni of course), Kurds, Baluchis et al. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

A final worry is the Wikileaks aim of publicizing such Mossad-CIA-MI6-arab contact to shame folks. Assange is a danger since he makes covert overt!

Wow, the inscrutable bad faith of the Chained Duck unintentionally illustrating the paper wick hurts my head. Is this a hoax structured on a solid spring? Will the Revolutionary Guards remain grounded arms against this tourism barbouzard without Frontiers? hmmmm.... DPM Moshe Ya'alon sez that within 3 years Iran could get a nuke but now now, due to "technological difficulties".

Will, I will check your link. For those who don't know French or Le Canard, it's a satirical paper but is sometimes used by the French Establishment to publish news that they [or French intelligence] want to get out but don't want to do so through a too respectable newspaper.
